Being a member of the PolyU Development Foundation, Fukutomi was invited to join the China-Europa Forum Opening Ceremony on 2nd July 2010. Ms. Mary Cheung, Commercial Director, participated in the opening ceremony on behalf of Fukutomi. The theme of the 3rd Biennial of the China Europa Forum is “Converse to Converge: Forging a Common Vision for Chinese and European Societies”.

Followed Dr. Steve Wong, Managing Director of Fukutomi, being nominated the “Glorious Chinese 2009” in July last year, an album about all the awarded Glorious Chinese 2009 was published by the Glorious China Association and Ta Kung Pao in May 2010. The Album will be exhibited in various national libraries and museums in China, and will be presented to various associations in Hong Kong. Mrs. Angely Webb, HR & Administration Manager, attended the press conference and received the album on behalf of Dr. Wong on 28th May 2010.

Ms. Eva Chui, Corporate Communications Manager, joined the “Study Mission to Korea” organized by the Hong Kong Productivity Council from 24th to 28th May 2010. The visit provided a valuable reference for enterprises in HK which seek to enhance quality, develop innovation culture, and establish brand strategy. Participants, consisted of middle and top management from different industries, not only had to attend a lecture at the University of Hong Kong before departure, but also the wrap up meeting upon return to Hong Kong. The mission visited 6 prominent enterprises in Pusan and Seoul, which they shared their experience in marketing promotion and management strategy.

Fukutomi representative attended the “2010 Green - Low Carbon – Innovative Technology Forum”, co-organized by the Hong Kong Productivity Council, Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology and IT, and Productivity (Guangzhou) Consulting Co., Ltd., at Guangzhou International Convention & Exhibition Centre on 19th Mar 2010. Through this Forum, we learned: how to utilize the resources in HK; the judging criteria to evaluate enterprises’ and industries’ low carbon standard; how an enterprise could benefit from the Low Carbon Production Program; policies which supported enterprises to promote Low Carbon; and how to obtain funding support from the Cleaner Production Partnership Program.

Ms. Eva Chui, Corporate Communications Manager, attended HAESCO’s 2nd Annual Reception on behalf of Fukutomi on 18th May 2010. This informal social gathering is to facilitate networking and experience sharing with organizations and individuals interested in energy efficiency in Hong Kong and mainland China. After learning more about the association, Fukutomi joined HAESCO as corporate member.
